For the few of you who I’ve come to know over the years and know follow my blog, you may (or may have not) noticed that I’ve been slightly absent these last few months. Well, more like half a year. đ
I promise you that it wasn’t for nothing. I actually had a baby girl back in July. At the ripe old age of 40, she was a bit of a surprise! My oldest will be 17 soon, my youngest before the new baby is 12. So it’s been quite a while.
With all that comes with having a baby–and not having had one for 12 years–this past 6 months has been quite the whirlwind. I’m still trying to figure out taking care of her, and homeschooling my four other kiddos–one of which who is a Jr. in high school.
So, naturally, blogging AND reading are the things that have fallen behind. But I’m trying. I’m trying to read more–partly for my sanity. And I’m wanting to find a little bit of myself again.
As I write this, my 14-year-old twin daughters are watching the very fussy baby who got woken up prematurely from her nap. And I’m trying to just… be okay with it. The fussing–and pawning her off on my daughters.
Anyway, all this to say that I’m trying to come back. Slowly but surely. And I’ve tried keeping track of the few books that I’ve been able to read but not review so that I can review them all now. But it’s going to be a process, as it’s taken me almost a whole day to just get this post up.
Thank you to those of you who have reached out. And thank you for reading this far into this. Love you all! And I hope to be talking to you more soon, too!
Congrats on the baby, Christine! âĽ
