Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
It’s been quite some time since I participated in Top Ten Tuesday. Sometimes I think it’s just difficult for me to come up with ten examples of anything. But, this week is a freebie week so I have plenty of books to list that I own but haven’t read yet.
1.Imagining Anne by Elizabeth Rollins Epperly
I read Shadow and Bone a few years ago–after I bought all three of this series in paperback. And, you know what? I really enjoyed it! So then, why haven’t I continued the series? Honestly, too many books, too little time.
My goal is to pick this series up this year along with…
2.The Ballad of Ami Miles
So I don’t really want to start this series until I finish the Grishaverse series. I know some have said either series can be read first, but I want to read them that way. Same reason I haven’t read these–not enough time.
3.The Wholesome Yum Easy Keto Cookbook
Another series not read. I got The Cruel Prince (the beautiful edition, pictured) in my OwlCrate when the book came out. And I really wanted to read it because I love Holly Black and the way she writes the fay. At some point, I will read these–and purchase the last in the series.
4.Jane Austen at Home by Lucy Worsley
Another book that I’d love to start–I’ve heard so many great things about this series. I think most of the books I have on here are books, like this one, that I accumulated at a time when I was mostly into YA Fantasy.
5.The Oxford Companion to the Brontës
Another book that I got in my OwlCrate… When this came out and all the drama over this book started, I wasn’t quite sure if I wanted to read it. But, I know feelings are conflicted over this one. So, will I read it? Yeah, I’m sure I will at some point.
6.The Mistletoe Trap by Cindi Madsen
This one I found used at a library sale a few years ago. And I bought it because it was so hyped. I honestly have been meaning to read this one for quite some time now–My goal is to read it this year.
7.The Last Letter From Your Lover by Jojo Moyes
I bought this online because I love Jojo Moyes. However, after reading a little more about what it’s about–infidelity–I’m just not sure. Will I read it? Yes, most likely. I’d also like to see the movie–and I typically make myself read the book first. So, I’m sure I’ll read it at some point… I’m honestly not in any hurry, though.
8.The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons
Another YA fantasy–I really bought this one because of the cover. I didn’t even read the synopsis. Yeah, I went in blind–because the cover was pretty. I will start this series soon, though.
9.The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux
Another second-in-the-series that I haven’t read. And I absolutely loved And Ember in the Ashes. Again, don’t know why I haven’t read this yet. But, I will. I just think I may need to re-read AEitA before I pick this one up for a refresher.
10.You, Me, and the Sea by Meg Donohue
I absolutely adore Sarah J. Maas. Like, everything she writes is just gold to me. This is just a case of me, not wanting to start a series until they’re all out. I don’t know if any of you are like this, but–when it’s an author I love, I know I will just wait until, at least most of them, are out. I will probably wait to start this when the third in the series comes out.
Bonus Series:
Yup, I own all of these–and haven’t read one of them yet. I know, I know. But, again, I’m so hesitant to start when I know it’s not done! However, given that there are probably only two books left to come out–I’m starting these very soon! I can’t wait!
I hope you enjoy all of these books whenever you might read them!

Thank you!
I haven’t read The Cruel Prince yet either.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday..
Many favorite of mine! I love Shadow and Bone series, Six of Crows duology, Cruel Prince books, Crescent City and the Ash and Blood series I like too.

Oh my! You’ve read all of those–I really need to read them all!
I’m loving all of the different posts on this week’s TTT freebie!
My TTT post is here: https://wordywitterings.com/2022/04/05/ttt-21st-century-books-i-think-will-become-classics/
This would be a good topic for me to do too. I have so many books/series that I own but haven’t read yet. I’m a book hoarder, lol.

Book hoarding is a REAL problem! 😂
I absolutely loved The Cruel Prince, but I’ve never seen that cover–it’s stunning! I hope you enjoy the series.

Thank you so much!💜
I feel you, although my problem is more reading and enjoying the first book in a series and just never moving on with it, even though I want to. Is that weird? For some reason, I seem to do it a lot! Maybe I’m just weird…
Happy TTT!

Nope! Not weird at all! I do that quite frequently! Even when I enjoy that first book… I find it really difficult sometimes to get through a series–Maybe I have commitment issues.😂
I actually read ACOTAR for the first time this month. I’m on book 2 right now and loving it. I’ve been discussing it with some people on BookTok, one of whom hadn’t read the books either. This is my first time reading anything from Maas.

Ohhhh, I LOVE that series! But I get it. It feels like EVERYONE has already read that, right? Well, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
I *finally* read the Grishaverse in 2020 and I did like Six of Crows the most. I’m hoping to reread it sometime soon. 🙂 I also need to read Torch Against the Night. Hoping to do that this summer. Great post!

[…] Another TTT post?! This is crazy! But, this list is another fun, easy one for me seeing as how many books are out there that I want to read! Some of these are going to be repeated from last week’s TTT post, of Book/Series I Own, but Haven’t Read. […]
I’m like you in that I bought a lot of the sequels to books I loved the first one in the series, but without some kind of deadline, I don’t always get to them right away. I bought From Blood and Ash as soon as it came out, but only got around to reading it at the end of last year. I bought the second one when I was done, but have yet to pick it up even though I loved the first one! Great topic!
