What if with every person you met, after just one touch, you have a vision of the last time you’ll see each other? Ever. Normally, these visions are innocent—two friends just drifting apart, a random stranger that brushed past you then never crossed your path again.
But not today.
When I accidentally touch him, within only moments of our first meeting, I’m bombarded by visions of his death.
And from what I can see, I’m the reason he dies.
Now I just need to figure out why, and how to stop this from happening. Because not only am I to blame, but his very last words to me are...I love you.
Welcome to my stop of the To What Ever End blog tour!
I’m going to be honest–the cover was what first drew me to this book because when I first saw it, there was no synopsis.
But, as soon as I started reading I was so glad because right off I knew I would love the main character, Quinn.
Quinn is a pretty quiet protagonist who shies away from close relationships with boys; all because every time she touches someone she sees how the end of their relationship will come about. Understandable, this makes Quinn less-than-eager to pursue a relationship when she knows how those relationships will meet their demise.
In the case of Quinn’s first meeting with Griffin, he touches her and from there–she actually does see his demise.
At this point, Quinn struggles internally with how much to pursue Griffin–whether or not to pursue him and just how much of the future is left to fate or control.
Quinn is an endearing character who dragged me along and made me empathize for her. Once you get into the story, there’s so much more there to her backstory that unravels.
Griffin is a worthy hero and succeeds in charming Quinn and the reader into rooting for him and their love.
Questions of fate, how much is true love worth, and what sacrifice really means are all explored in this novel.
Wow, what an interesting premise, very intriguing sounding of a read here. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it.
Thanks you! 🙂
Okay, this sounds pretty interesting! It sounds like it could be a pretty sad story so hopefully I’m wrong there. 😛
