This will be the second reading challenge that I’m starting this year! Only, this one will be a five-year challenge!
For this challenge, the Classics Club Challenge, I’ll be committing to reading 50 classic books in the next five years, starting on January 1st. I’m actually hoping that I’ll finish quite a bit before that, but I’m giving myself a little room for some extra-long books that may take more time to get through.
Below, is my list of all the books I plan on reading. I reserve the right to change these, as needed. When I finish a book, I’ll be linking my review of the book from here.

You’ve picked some wonderful classics – let me know how you get on with The Odyssey & which publication you read. I tried it many years ago but found it ‘fusty’ and gave up. Perhaps a more modern interpretation would be easier.
I’ve already got my Odyssey ready to go! It’s the one by Emily Wilson! I’ve heard so many great things about this version, so I knew I had to get it! I’m hoping I don’t get lost in it! 😉
Ooooh I see the Odyssey on your list. It’s one of my favorites and I would highly recommend the Emily Wilson edition. It’s amazing. Good luck with it next year!
Stephanie @ Bookfever recently posted…Review: The Running Wolf by Helen Steadman
That’s the one I have!! I’m so excited to hear you liked that one! In one of my book clubs EVERYONE suggested the Emily Wilson edition! I’m so excited to finally read it!
What a wonderful list! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts! 😉
Awwww, thanks, Lu!!! I’m so excited to dive into these!
