I currently find myself wanting to devour each and every one of Samantha Towle’s books. Seriously, I can’t get enough. It’s like she has a direct line to all the things I love in romance… It’s diverting and distracting as there are so many other books I should be reading right now. BUT, that’s okay–I’m great at multireading.

This one is one I picked up because a couple of the characters were featured in The Ending I Want, which I read last month. So, of course, I just had to give in and see what the fuss was.

And I can honestly say that I was hooked on this book from page one.

First off, Andi (or Andressa), was just a wonderful main character to read about. She’s beautiful, down-to-earth, and she’s a mechanic. And in this particular sport, that will garner her some wanted–and unwanted–attention.

She immediately catches the eye of Formula One driver, Carrick Ryan–who she now works for. And for quite a plethora of reasons, even though Andi is attracted to him–she has no desire for any kind of relationship with Carrick.

Unfortunately for her both hormones and Carrick’s charismatic personality get in the way of her principles.

This makes for quite the simmering love affair that takes very little time to boil over into a hot mess of sexy goodness.

It’s not long before they both realize that they got way more than they bargained for and can’t help the love and affection between them–let alone the attraction.

This book was full of highs and lows between Andi and Carrick–sometimes those lows were completely unnecessary–okay, most of the time they were unnecessary. But in the end, the tale was entertaining, engrossing, and I quite simply just couldn’t put it down.

I immediately picked up the second in the series and gobbled that one up too!
