When best friend Abby has a beautiful baby boy Sam’s priorities change and she realises she wants more from her life
Uninspired with her dull day job Sam plans to expand Purbeck Pooches, her seaside pet sitting business into a full-time career and embarks on a mission to find her perfect man.
Sam soon hits trouble. Her boss accuses her of moonlighting. The perfect man is frustratingly elusive and her parents make a shock revelation.
The odds are stacking up against her but Sam finds that sometimes when you reach for the moon, you get a handful of glittering stars thrown in for free.
Welcome to my stop on the Moonlight Over Studland Bay blog tour! I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday weekend!
This is my second read of Della Galton’s and I’m excited to say that I think I’ve found a new favorite author! It seems like it’s overly-typical for me to find a one-hit-wonder sometimes with authors. But, that is not even close to being the case with Galton.
This book was an absolute delight from start to finish. The main character, Sam, was a joy to read about. She was the sort of main character that I wish would get more stories!
Sam and her friendship with Abby may have been my most favorite aspect to this story. I think that most women want that best friend that they can be family with–the woman who knows them so well and will be there through everything–that’s what Sam and Abby have.
On top of that, the romance in this story was slow, sweet, and completely perfect. I wasn’t honestly sure if the man who Sam ended up with in the end was the man I was hoping it would be–but it was! And Galton, wove their story naturally and beautifully.
This story hit all my buttons, and it even had some crossover from her other amazing book, Sunshine Over Bluebell Cliff. This book does stand on its own, however.
Be sure to check out all the other stops on the tour!
Thank you so much Christine. I’m thrilled you liked Sam. I think she is my favourite character to date. x
You’re welcome, Della! I’m such a fan! And Sam was such a joy to read about! Thank you!

Great review! Is the dog on the cover also a part of the story? 😍
