I have been getting so many books read recently. It’s been really nice. I feel like I’ve just been having way more time to read. Plus, some of the books have just been so easy to read because they’re so good!
This month marked our first Spring in South Dakota. We got through Winter and every one said it would be awful. It really wasn’t. But, maybe that’s just because I love the cold and snow. 🙂
This last week I’ve been cooking and baking and doing all kinds of things in the kitchen. It helps that this month we got our kitchen organized FINALLY!
I don’t have any “before” pictures, but trust me when I say our kitchen was kind of a disaster. We bought all new kitchen appliances back in October but didn’t get them all until this month… SOOOOO long!
And here’s the St. Patrick’s Day Guinness Irish stew and soda bread that I made–with help, of course! And some lemon scones just for fun…

Glad you had a great month including finally having new appliances
Thanks, Heather! When we moved in all our appliances were old and kind of beaten up. Our kitchen was due for a change!
We visited South Dakota in the early fall of 2019 and found it delightful! I don’t think I could take the winters though. lol. Glad you survived it. 😉 So far 2022 has been a good reading year for me. I’ve found lots of books I enjoy and are helpful (I lean toward nonfiction).
Lisa, I keep trying to get my mom to move out here and our winters are one of the main reasons why she’s so hesitant! I know, they’re not for everybody. I’ll admit, I’m a bit sad now that it’s over. However, I’m finding that, unlike California, we actually have four seasons here–so I’m finding spring to be very lovely–and with some snow! 😂
Congrats on that newly organized kitchen – it looks great! You got a lot of reading and reviewing done too!
Awww, thank you! It really is nice to have newer appliances! 🙂
Look like you have a good reading month.
I don’t think I try soda bread before.

Yeah, I really did get a lot in!
Irish soda bread is delicious! I actually made two loaves of it yesterday as we had people over to share it with us! So good! 🙂 And it’s really easy to make.
Glad you got the kitchen organized. It always feels so good to get something like that done.

Yes, it really does! I don’t like an unorganized kitchen. Cooking is just so much nicer in there now. 🙂
Glad you found the winter not too bad! I live in Wisconsin, but I think South Dakota winters are a bit milder than ours. Your kitchen looks great! That is a long time to wait for appliances. Looks like you had a great reading month.
Have a good April!
I think you’re right about that. 🙂 Especially where we live in S. Dakota, it’s the warmest part of the state. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Wow, you have read a lot of books this month. That’s an interesting juxtaposition in your 5-star reads too. 🙂
Yeah, the genres are kind of all over the place.😂 Thanks for stopping by!
That’s a lot of reviews written! Well done

Thank you so much! It was a busy month! 🙂
Your kitchen looks great and the food too! Looks like a good March! I keep trying to register on your site to be able to pick a different post to share too, but I can’t get it to let me. But since you’ve already commented on my monthly post and I’m behind, oh well! Hope April is going well for you!

Thank you! Oh no! I wonder why it’s doing that. :/ I’ll see if I can figure it out.
