Welcome to my July 2020 Monthly Wrap-Up! This is where you can see a little bit of what went on this month here, at Captivated Reading!
It’s hard to believe that it’s the end of July already! Summer is well-begun and I feel like I’m ready for it to be over! I hate the heat! And, I know I’m not the only one! This week we’re getting to the 100s most days… Thank God for air conditioning!
In regards to blogging, I’m afraid I wasn’t quite as active. I’ve been pretty busy lately between home, chores, and all the reading I’ve committed to. So, besides the required reviews and whatnot, I’ve been a little quiet on here. 🙂
This month was great for getting outside and being productive, though! We traveled about an hour away to see some friends (safely!) at a park–which the kids really needed!
And we finally did some late planting in our garden boxes (that hubby made himself!) and now we’re just excited to see what comes of it! We planted carrots, summer squash, cabbage, lettuce, broccoli, green beans, wax beans, cauliflower, and cucumbers. Really hoping for some veggies to eat and store up for the rest of the year!
I also had an amazing time doing an at-home book retreat with the Modern Mrs. Darcy book club last weekend! Two days spent discussing books with fellow book-lovers! What more could I ask for?
I hope you guys all had a great July, given the circumstances. Here’s praying for a fabulous August!
Hope you had an excellent July too and that August will be great as well! 😀

I only used to look forward to summer when I was kid and a teacher. Now, it just means inhospitable weather to me. Like today, it’s cloudy and maybe 80, but the humidity makes it feel awful. Glad you were able to arrange a little social distance date there. I have only really seen my sister since this all started.

I also hate the heat. I have to get up at 5am so I can get my exercise done before it’s 100 degrees. I need it to be fall. I’m glad you were able to get out and see some friends and work in the garden. Have a great August!

Your garden looks so good! I’m always in favor of going out and reading over blogging. 🙂
Thank you so much for all of the fabulous reviews!! I wish you good luck with your garden & hope to see some photos at this time next month!!
Have a wonderful & safe August!!
