If you’re into nerdy alpha-males who tend towards stalking and/or manipulation–thennnn, this is the book for you!
Luckily for me, this is exactly what I enjoy in a main character. Mason comes off as so unassuming, you’d never know that he’s been pining for Ava for years. And then he has his chance… This handsome, shy, quiet hero.
I won’t divulge more because that would give away a lot of the plot, however, I can say this book was equal parts steamy, sweet, and full of angst.
Ava was a girl that needed to have her bubble popped a bit–and I feel like Mason did that for her. She was better by the end… And so was Mason.
This is Jaclyn Combe’s first novel–and I believe first in a series that revolves around some of the characters we meet in this one… And here I am, sitting here, waiting anxiously for the next book!
Great review, Christine! In real life I would never like men who tend towards stalking or manipulation but in books I love it. Gimme gimme gimme!
