Fit Readers is a group/challenge run by Felicia @ Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and Jen @ That’s What I’m Talking About, designed to support and encourage each other on our health and fitness goals. This is the first time I’ve decided to join up–and all because I’ve been working out every day and eating right! So, what better way that to share that journey with others!
November 2020 Commitment
I am so happy to report that, even though I haven’t been posting updates on here, I’ve been sticking to my diet, diligently, and have lost over 20lbs!
It probably would’ve come off faster, had I not gone off every once in awhile–but, when I decided to really stick with this diet this time, I decided that I wouldn’t be a slave to it. I want this to be a lifestyle change, and that means every once in a while–I have a slice of cake with my kids.
So, for the month of November, I’m committing to sticking to this diet the same that I have been. When it comes to Thanksgiving, I haven’t decided whether I’m staying strictly low-carb or low-fat.
One of my best friends is an absolute stickler with me and helps me stay on diet, so she may insist on it. 😉
Food Goals
So, I’m still doing the Trim Healthy Mama diet. For those of you that aren’t familiar with it, well… If you’re aware of how Keto works–few carbs, balanced fat and protein; Trim Healthy Mama works like that…half the time. 🙂
I can eat two types of meals on this diet. The “S” or satisfying meals, that follow the tenants (pretty much of Keto). No sugar, no carbs, with veggies and protein.
The “E”, or energizing meals are low-fat meals. I can have a decent amount of (healthy) carbohydrates with very little fat in these meals. All with protein and veggies.
There’s a little more to it that all this, but that’s basically it. I can switch back and forth between these two meals, with some “Fuel Pull” meals to help boost my weight loss; that’s where I basically have very little fat and carbs in a meal. 🙂
I am LOVING this diet!!! Loving it! So, I’m going to keep at it–reserving the right to go off on Thanksgiving. I haven’t decided yet.
Exercise Goals
Yeah, exercise has been non-existent for me, as of late. To be honest, our family is going through too many life changes and there just hasn’t been much time. So, my goal is to try to go for walks this month with the hubby whenever he goes.
Spiritual Goals
I’m still doing the Experiencing God bible study with my best friends, over Skype–since we’re kind of scattered around the country. 😉 When we finish that, we’re planning on starting something new! For me, personally, I’ve been just trying to up my daily reading on my own.
Anyone else trying to be more healthy in 2020? What are your goals?
I started swimming again this year but of course it’s been off and on because the swimming pool had to be closed twice due to lockdowns. We’re still in our second lockdown so again had to stop swimming. SAD 🙁

Ohhhh, I wish I had a pool! Or access to a pool! I think that would be a fantastic way to exercise! And I deal with back and knee issues, so I feel like swimming is one of the best thing from joints and whatnot. 🙂
