#FitReaders May 2020

Fit Readers is a group/challenge run by Felicia @ Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and Jen @ That’s What I’m Talking About, designed to support and encourage each other on our health and fitness goals. This is the first time I’ve decided to join up–and all because I’ve been working out every day and eating right! So, what better way that to share that journey with others!

I’m going to post an update on here, for now, every 2 weeks. If that gets to be too much I may make it every month.

 

May 2020 Commitment

For the month of May, I’m committing to be more fit in all the areas of my life. That can be mentally, spiritually, physically, etc… My goal is that May will be my best month in quite some time in all these areas.

 

Food Goals

When it comes to my food, I’ve been using–and plan on continuing to use MyFitnessPal to log in my food and water for the day. Right now, it’s connected to my walking app, so it gives me a few extra calories for the day–but, my goal is to stick to 1,200 calories a day. And I’m doing intermittent fasting, where I eat only from 10am to 6pm every day. I’ve been doing that for awhile so it’s not that difficult.

Exercise Goals

I’ve been exercising already using an app on my phone called Home Workouts. I’ve been doing two of the beginner workouts every day–which has been averaging about 30 minutes a day of strength training.

On top of that, I’ve been walking two miles every day with my kiddos. But, we’re going to be steadily increasing that number so… we shall see!

Spiritual Goals

My goal for this month is to go through Experiencing God. It’s a bible study that I’ve done with the family before but I like to go through it again every so often. 🙂 So, I’m either going to do this by myself this time or with a friend over video chat.
