Carian Cole’s books are always a treat for me. She’s a tremendous writer who evokes emotions easily and without fail.
Don’t Kiss the Bride is a sweet story of eighteen-year-old Skylar and thirty-four-year-old Jude. They meet and instantly are drawn to each other–even though Skylar is still in high school.
Skylar is no stranger to stress and pain–her life is not an easy one. And Jude is there to save her each and every step. I love this couple. They have struggles from the get-go–mostly the fact that Jude can’t reconcile the feelings he has for a girl that’s still in high school–regardless of how mature she is or how much they have in common.
From start to finish, this story takes the reader on an emotional journey to bring Jude and Skylar to a place of oneness and understanding. It’s not an easy path what with their own internal struggles and outside influences that try to tear them apart.
Carian Cole delivers another win–just proving that she’s incapable of writing a bad book with bad characters.
