After a shocking accident, Martha Munro has given up on her childhood dreams. With her confidence shattered, even leaving the house is scary, and a promising romance with gorgeous Logan is over before it even had a chance to begin. But cheered on by her dad and her great friend, Madison, she makes a decision that could change everything. Can Martha find the courage to step out into the world and love again?
Rosie Green and her Little Duck Pond Cafe stories are never a disappointment. Each one of them are filled with great characters, sweet love stories, and stellar writing.
Specifically, Chocolate Cake for Breakfast, was such a great story from start to finish. Mostly, because it followed the theme of An Affair to Remember–two people, starcrossed in their meeting when one meets catastrophe.
Martha and Logan have instant chemistry, so it’s not surprise that from the start, I was rooting for these two.
And Martha’s relationship with her father was another wonderful bonus to this book.
I know this isn’t the last of the Little Duck Pond series, and I really hope to see some of these same characters again!
The title of this one makes me think of an old comedy routine. Thanks for sharing!
