The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy Burgess from Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
The last book that I couldn’t finish was The City We Became by N.K. Jemisin. I’ve heard such great things about this author and it was highly recommended to me in my book club. But, I seriously just couldn’t connect with the writing or voice of this book. And the plot, itself, was just ‘meh’ to me.
I’m really curious to try one of her other books, though, because I know she writes other popular books.
Sometimes it’s better to DNF a book and focus on books you’d enjoy more. Life’s too short!

Agreed! SO MUCH AGREED! I have way too many books and way too few minutes in my day to waste on books that I just can’t get into. 🙂
