One woman's secret journal completely changes her marriage in this hilarious and biting memoir -- soon to be a Netflix Original Series.
School psychologists aren't supposed to write books about sex. Lucky for you, ethics was never my strong suit.
After spending years trying to spice up my sex life, I gave up and took to my journal. Perhaps my gorgeous number-crunching husband simply wasn't capable of the kind of passion I'd come to expect from my tattooed and testosterone-fueled ex-boyfriends. If I couldn't have that kind of passion again in real life, I could at least write about it. Right? Nobody had to know. It would be my little secret.
Well, guess what? My husband found my journal. And guess what else? He upped his game.Soon I began testing the limits-crafting journal entries specifically designed to influence Ken's behavior. For the most part, he responded beautifully...except for when he didn't. And then I got the surprise of my life.

I’m a HUGE fan of B.B. Easton’s Rain trilogy! So, as soon as I had the opportunity to read 44 Chapters About Men, I was THRILLED to read more from her!

Plot

44 Chapters in written as a journal. A journal that B.B. keeps–and hides–from her husband. BUT, her husband soon finds it and from there–B.B. uses it to manipulate sway her husband into doing things that she’s wanted for years! Heralded as a semi-biographical look at actual events, this whole story from start to finish was wickedly entertaining!

Characters

B.B., herself, took front-and-center and I couldn’t get enough! She’s hysterically charming and extremely self-aware. All the men in her life weren’t actually very fleshed out–other than some anecdotes (and only half of those were truth!) to bring her husband along, we didn’t get to know them much . But, they served as very entertaining plot devices.

Writing

B.B.’s writing is relatable and therefore, even when you question some of her moral decisions–you’re not really questioning her moral decisions! She’s witty and so creative! I got to see a side of her that I don’t think we got in the Rain trilogy.

Pacing

The pacing is fabulous! It tells you right in the title how many chapters this book will be… And each one delivers a fabulous piece of B.B.

Cover

I’m loving the updated cover! If you’ve ever seen or followed B.B. before on any social media–you’ll know what I mean when I say this cover just exudes B.B. Easton!

Reading this one has made me want to delve further into her past! Which you can do too! She’s got a whole series that get more in-depth about these men!

About B.B. Easton

BB Easton is a best-selling, award-winning author, artist, psychologist, wife, and mother who loves drinking, cursing, and staying up late mining for humor in the darkest of places.

BB began painting as a pierced, punk ass teen, but decided to pursue a career in school psychology due to her compassion for those with mental illness and a desire to work with children with autism. Unable to turn off her creative side, BB decided to take a few years off to raise her two small children (Baby BB and Mini Ken) and indulge in all of her artistic whims, primarily having pink hair and writing embarrassingly candid novels about her delinquent past and deviant sexual history. Her husband is suuuper excited about it.
